OUR MISSION
US Doula is a company dedicated to making humanized care accessible throughout the birth journey. Our multidisciplinary team actively advocates for the rights of pregnant women and raises awareness about reproductive rights, pregnancy care, obstetric violence, and related issues pregnant women may face throughout their pregnancy.
Our certified doula professionals speak out against violations of women’s autonomy in childbirth and create a safe, supportive space for pregnant people. We teach families about their rights, offer perinatal education, and connect them with trained doulas who provide support throughout pregnancy.
OUR ORIGINS AND DOULA BRASIL
US Doula was born from the legacy of a group of pioneering educational platforms that transformed the doula profession throughout Latin America and beyond. Our origins trace back to DoulaBrasil.com.br, CursosDeDoula.com.br, CursosDeAmamentacao.com, Doulas.PT, and Lamaze.com.br; those projects have trained tens of thousands of birth professionals over the years and helped support multiple mothers all across the world.
Our institution has been recognized as the largest doula training network in Latin America, playing a leading role in professional qualification, childbirth humanization, lactation education, and evidence-based support for families.
Doula Brasil emerges as an innovative institution dedicated to advancing training in Doula Support and Lactation Facilitation, focusing on cultivating specialists who actively support and advocate for the rights of expectant mothers and the principles of humanized childbirth. Our core mission is to promote informed guidance for professionals and activists in the field, enabling them to positively and consciously accompany the future mother from gestation through the postpartum phase. This commitment is rooted in a desire to reshape cultural and hospital practices concerning the emotional and physiological realities of pregnancy. Ultimately, we strive to empower women to become the protagonists of their own births, shattering myths and taboos through the dissemination of scientifically proven information.
OUR PROGRAM
To fulfill this vital mandate, Doula Brasil offers comprehensive programs based on a harmonious blend of theoretical content, practical dynamics, and real-life experiences, all delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals in humanized birth.
Our curriculum is structured to ensure comprehensive preparation, encompassing the full journey of doula support from gestation to the postpartum period. Key to this preparation is the Successful Doula Educational Progam (SDEP), specifically designed to provide future professionals with excellent practical training and integral readiness for the job market following their certification.
Training is accessible through various synchronous modalities: in-person courses are available in major Brazilian cities, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, and Campinas, while the videoconference format extends our reach nationally across Brazil, and internationally to the United States and Portugal. Upon completion, students are certified not just as Doulas, but also as Perinatal Educators and Lactation Facilitators, receiving a certificate of conclusion reflecting 180 hours of study.
